ACS had a big night at the 22nd Australian IT Journalism Awards on Friday with Information Age celebrating a successful year along with a long-standing ACS Fellow being awarded for his lifetime achievements.

Information Age was acknowledged as being one of Australia’s leading technology publications with eight nominations across the categories with contributing journalist, David Braue, winning the Best Technical Journalist award, and receiving a Highly Commended in Best News Journalist category.

The Best Technical Journalist award was won by Information Age senior journalist Casey Tonkin last year.

Recently, Information Age topped the 160,000 subscribers mark with over a million pageviews last year, making it one of the nation’s most-read technology publications.

Next year, Information Age will celebrate 40 years of delivery news to technology professionals.

The recognition at the IT Journalism Awards shows the important positions ACS and Information Age have as the Australian ICT profession’s leading voice.
