Information Age is the flagship news publication of the Australian Computer Society (ACS), the peak membership body of tech industry professionals.

Information Age delivers authoritative and trusted news on the local and international tech sector, keeping technology professionals informed with the latest developments.                                                                                                

Our newsletter is sent to 165,000+ subscribers twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays).

We average more than one million pageviews per year from 500,000+ users. Our reader demographic is 60% male and 40% female.

Information Age is led by one of the tech industry’s most experienced journalists, managing editor Roulla Yiacoumi. The publication also has a dedicated full-time journalist, Tom Williams, and is supported by contributions from some of Australia’s most seasoned and highly-awarded writers, including David Braue, Denham Sadler, Leonard Bernardone, Emily Chantiri, Kate Millar, Kelly Mills, Casey Tonkin, and Paul Wallbank.

Roulla Yiacoumi

Roulla Yiacoumi is the managing editor of Information Age, having joined the publication in 2016. She is an award-winning journalist who has been covering business and consumer technology news for more than 20 years. Roulla was awarded Best Editor 2019 at the Consensus IT Writers Awards. She is based in Sydney.

 


Tom Williams

Tom Williams is a senior journalist at Information Age, with key interests in consumer technology, artificial intelligence, gaming, space and cyber security. He was previously a digital journalist at ABC News, where he covered technology and breaking news.

 


David Braue

David Braue is an award-winning technology journalist who has covered Australia’s technology industry since 1995. A lifelong technophile, he has written and edited content for a broad range of audiences across myriad topics, with a particular focus on the intersection of technological innovation and business transformation.

 


Denham Sadler

Denham Sadler is an experienced journalist based in Melbourne. He was previously Editor of StartupSmart, and writes on tech and politics. His work has been published in The Saturday Paper and The Guardian.

 


Leonard Bernardone

Leonard Bernadone is an award-winning techie and our cyber security specialist writer based in Melbourne. After six years working across multiple startup businesses, Leonard now writes for Information Age. His work strives to spread awareness, cyber safety, and technical innovation.

 


Kelly Mills

Kelly Mills is a freelance journalist based in Sydney. She has written about technology and business issues for more than 20 years and previously worked as a senior journalist on the IT section at The Australian

 


Kate Millar

Kate Millar is an experienced freelance writer and editor based in Melbourne. She's written for the Centre for New Energy Technologies (C4NET) and Women in Energy. Kate enjoys writing about technology, gender equality, leadership and wellness, and is particularly fascinated by the rise of AI.

 


Casey Tonkin

A lifelong technophile and science fiction geek, Casey Tonkin joined Information Age in 2019. With interests in AI, space travel, and post-humanism, Casey is always on the hunt for the overlap of science-fact and science-fiction.

 


Paul Wallbank

Prior to joing ACS, Paul Wallbank was News Editor of media and marketing website, Mumbrella. Paul has covered technology and business for over 15 years for outlets including the ABC, The Australian, Fairfax metro titles, Australian Financial Review,  and Business Spectator, along with other local and international publications.

 


Emily Chantiri

Emily Chantiri is a Sydney-based journalist and best-selling author. Emily is a regular contributor to the Sydney Morning Herald, and has written for publications including, Business Review WeeklyAFRCompany DirectorThe New DailyMarie Claire and the Qantas in-flight magazine. 




Nina Hendy
