• IFIP President Mike Hinchey has been re-elected for another term. The decision was made at last month’s General Assembly meeting, held in conjunction with the IFIP World Computer Congress 2018 in Poznan, Poland. Hinchey has been President since September 2016.
  • Delegates from 45 countries around the world gathered for the IFIP World Computer Congress 2018 in Poznan, Poland.
  • The Informatics Association of Serbia has celebrated its 45th anniversary at a special ceremony at the Serbian Chamber of Commerce. The congress included four keynote talks, 11 invited speakers, 11 parallel conferences, four workshops, an Oxford debate and live Enigma demonstration.
  • The 13th IFIP Summer School on Privacy and Identity Management has been held in Vienna, Austria. The event focused on the topic “Fairness, Accountability and Transparency in the Age of Big Data.”
