ACS has officially launched its premier technology event, the 2019 Reimagination Thought Leaders’ Summit.
To be held on Wednesday, 4 December 2019 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, the Reimagination Thought Leaders’ Summit will bring together a mix of Australian and international thought leaders to engage in a conversation about Australia’s digital future.
The Summit will explore how amazing humans are creating and using epic technologies to tackle some of the biggest challenges of our digital world.
More than 1,000 tech business leaders and industry professionals from government, education, industry and startup sectors will come together to participate in a two-way conversation about Australia’s digital future on a national stage.
Reimagination is in Melbourne for a second successive year following the continuation of ACS' partnership with the Victorian State Government.
The Hon. Martin Pakula MP, Victorian Minister for Jobs, Innovation and Trade, said his government is committed to creating an environment in Victoria that fosters innovation, creates collaboration and key partnerships for the ICT community to thrive and compete with other tech hubs in the Asia-Pacific.
“By supporting Victoria’s tech and ICT sector we are ensuring that Victoria remains the innovation capital of Australia and a growing tech hub in the Asia-Pacific,” he said.
“We’re bringing the biggest events to Victoria, so our local start-ups and SMEs have every opportunity to grow and thrive, boosting the economy and creating jobs.”
ACS CEO Andrew Johnson thanked the Victorian Government for showing continued leadership on innovation and commitment to the ICT community by supporting events such as Reimagination.
“Victoria is home to some incredible tech talent, and we are excited that the Reimagination Thought Leaders’ Summit will once again be hosted in Melbourne,” he said.
The Reimagination Thought Leaders’ Summit will be followed by the 2019 ACS Digital Disruptors Awards to conclude the evening. The awards acknowledge those individuals and teams from Australia who are leading the way in disruption and innovation across Australia.
