• The third IFIP IoT Conference is being held online this week, beginning on Friday morning. Originally planned to take place in Amsterdam, the virtual event will see IoT experts talk to topics such as standardisation, security, smart-health, and more. Registrations are free and still open.   • IFIP adopted a new Code of Ethics and Professional Conduct at its general assembly in September. The Code of Ethics can be adopted alongside an IFIP member society’s existing code. Though it is not yet available online, IFIP will post the code in full to www.ifiptc9.org in the coming months.
  • The IFIP International Conference on Dependable Systems and Networks celebrated its 50th anniversary this year. For the first time in its long history, the conference was held virtually where over 49 researchers were presented on topics ranging from trustworthy AI to Facebook’s Libra cryptocurrency.
