ACS is encouraging its professional members to speak up about issues within the IT profession at a new town hall format to entice candid debate and views from participants.

A host will lead a panel of experts, with attending members able to ask live questions and offer their views. These live events will take place around Australia and members can also participate online.

The first of six events, ‘Password, Privacy, and Power’ will take place at 5pm next Thursday, 25 August, at the Barangaroo (Sydney) office of ACS.

The one-hour event will be hosted by ACS vice president of Academic Boards, David Cook, and will feature a panel of experts with whom members can interact live.

The Think Tank events are scheduled to occur approximately monthly and will each take place in a different ACS branch around Australia. Members will determine the future topics for discussion.
