ACS has appointed Josh Griggs as ACS interim chief executive officer effective Wednesday 20 December 2023.

Griggs steps into the position as ACS commences an extensive search for a permanent CEO through global talent solutions firm, Robert Half Executive Search.

ACS President Nick Tate said Grigg’s recent experience in business transformation was a key reason for bringing him on board.

“His IT and telecommunications background gives him a deep perspective into the opportunities and challenges which face ICT in Australia, as ACS continues with its journey to deliver better value to its members and the wider Australian technology community through the ACS strategic plan developed by CEO, Chris Vein, and the ACS Management Committee.”

Last month, current ACS CEO Chris Vein announced he was retiring at the end of this year due to health and personal reasons.

Griggs joins ACS after a long career in the Australian and global IT and telecommunications industry that over the past 25 years has seen him serving as a CEO, managing director and vice president at organisations including Optus Business, Alphawest, and data centre operator Metronode.

Griggs will be based in Sydney.
