ACS President Anthony Wong joined Treasurer Scott Morrison at a community celebration in the Treasurer’s electorate of Cook in southern Sydney.

Earlier this year, the Treasurer addressed more than 300 attendees at an ACS event on the future of Australia’s digital economy where he praised the role of ACS in advancing the technology profession.

At the community event, Wong and ACS CEO Andrew Johnson had a chance to further discuss with Morrison ACS’ plans to drive growth in the start-up economy through its upcoming accelerator hub, as well as provide an update on the recently announced ACS five-year strategy.

Building strong relationships with senior figures in the political sphere has been a key achievement of Wong’s term as President and will help position ACS strongly for future partnerships with government.
