ACS has announced Rupert Grayston, its Director of Professional Standards and Assessment Services, as interim CEO effective 8 October.
Grayston, who has been with ACS for more than two years, accepted the role this week.
“I’m excited to be leading ACS during this interim period as we undertake the search for a new CEO,” Grayston said.
“My experience in association management and strategy, as well as a thorough working knowledge of the dynamics of membership organisations, puts me in a strong position to look after the professional home for Australia’s ICT sector.”
Following an 11-year stint at Engineers Australia as the Executive General Manager of Professional Standards and Practice, Grayston held roles at the Office of Professional Standards Council and the Australian Property Institute.
Grayston holds a degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Engineering Management.
His appointment to the role of interim CEO follows the departure of Andrew Johnson, who finished yesterday after nine years with ACS, including six as chief executive.
The global search for a permanent CEO continues.
