ACS Chief Executive Officer Andrew Johnson has resigned.
Johnson tendered his resignation to ACS President Dr Ian Oppermann on 9 July 2020.
He began with ACS in 2011 as the General Manager, Strategic Initiatives Unit, and was promoted to CEO in early 2015.
Johnson oversaw ACS during one of its more active periods, including the organisation’s move to Barangaroo; the establishment of the ACS Innovation Hubs in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane; and the annual Reimagination conference and Digital Disruptor Awards.
An interim CEO will be appointed in due course. The ACS Management Committee will now commence a search for a new CEO.
The ACS Management Committee thanked Andrew Johnson for his service and wished him well.
