Ahead of the 2022 Federal election, ACS is calling for your views on an ICT Election Manifesto to take to the major political parties.

Having a strong industry voice in the upcoming election, due by mid-May next year, is critical for the sector, particularly given the challenges facing the Australian economy as the nation recovers from the effects of COVID-19.

In the past year, the pandemic has highlighted the importance of the ICT sector to Australia’s economy and the industry will be an important contributor to recovery during the next government’s term, regardless of which party wins the election.

Before the 2019 election, ACS released the Gamechangers Manifesto outlining 17 areas to boost Australia’s digital economy during the term of the current government.

For the 2022 poll, ACS is looking at releasing another manifesto early next year and is seeking feedback on what should be in the election platform, along with your views on how many items we should present.

The anonymous survey will be open until 10 September and ACS welcomes all views on what policies we should advocate to drive Australia's digital economy over coming years.
