The Association for Data-Driven Marketing and Advertising (ADMA) is celebrating after six members of its Advisory Committee were recognised in the 2021 CMO50 awards highlighting the country’s best chief marketing officers.

Four of this year’s top five CMO50 were in ADMA’s Advisory Committee – a result CEO Andrea Martens said reflected the high quality of people involved with the organisation.

“We have 12 external members on the ADMA Advisory Committee, which means we’ve seen 50 per cent of that group recognised as the best representation of Australian marketing,” Martens said.

“We made a conscious effort at the beginning of the year to supercharge our Advisory Committee, and this confirms we have the best Australia has to offer.

“I'm incredibly proud to say we have the brightest minds in marketing advising us on how we continue to support our members and the wider industry by delivering education, insights and resources that make a difference to marketers at every level, and across multiple industries.”

When she joined the committee in March, Suncorp’s Mim Hayson praised the organisation for the insights and capabilities it brings to Australian marketers.

“The role and the opportunity for ADMA to lead the industry on building marketers’ capabilities, and to provide thought leadership and advocacy around the fast moving regulatory changes impacting us all is both exciting, and critical to the future sustainability of our industry,” she said.

Martens said the committee members represent industries across the Australian economy from travel and tourism to insurance and retail.

“This reflects the breadth and depth of expertise, all of whom we are honoured to have on our Advisory Committee, allowing us to support our members with the latest insights and expertise as they transform their businesses in an increasingly data-driven world,” she said.
