• As part of its 60-year jubilee, IFIP has published a book featuring essays about contemporary ICT challenges such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, and e-waste.   • IFIP handed out its Pioneer in Human-Computer Interaction Awards for 2020-21. Six candidates were recognised for their contributions to the field of human-computer interaction. The winners were:

  • The World Conference on Computers in Education will take place from 20-24 August, 2022 in Hiroshima, Japan. A hybrid event featuring both face-to-face and online participants, the conference looks to discuss strategies for how to improve the teaching of ICT and computer science skills.   • Members of the IFIP Working Group on ICT Uses in Peace and War were part of a winning team at the Global Cyberpeace Challenge 2.0. Dr Brett van Niekerk, Dr Trishana Ramluckan, and Mrs Noëlle van der Waag-Cowling won the Strategy and Policy section of the competition for their strategy in response to an international cyber security crisis.
