ACS Victoria had the privilege of presenting two Honorary Memberships at last night’s February Branch Forum. Held at the Telstra Conference Centre, well deserving recipients, Professor Tim Baldwin and Dr Shanton Chang were awarded Honorary Memberships for their contribution to the Branch and ICT Industry.

Professor Tim Baldwin has played an integral role in providing higher education input as a member of an elite reference group for the ACS Professional Development Board Project: Professional Development Offerings 2015 - 2030. He is a Professor in the Department of Computing and Information Systems, The University of Melbourne and an Australian Research Council Future Fellow. He has previously held visiting positions at the University of Washington, University of Tokyo, Saarland University, and NTT Communication Science Laboratories.

Dr Shanton Chang is a Senior Lecturer and the Assistant Dean, International Exchange at the Department of Computing and Information Systems, The University of Melbourne. Shanton has been the University’s representative in the development of the Master’s level internship project, jointly managed by the ACS and the University and offered as an elective in the Master of Information Systems and the Master of Technology. He manages the 25 point subject and oversees the assessment and project placement of students within the program. Shanton is the focal point of the ongoing relationship between ACS and the University of Melbourne.
