Apple has announced its top-selling iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will now come in a limited edition blazing red.

The (PRODUCT)RED Special Edition marks 10 years of the tech giant supporting charity (RED) which funds HIV/AIDS programs in Africa through Global Fund.

The phone will be available in Australia in 128GB and 256GB models starting from $1229.

The face of the phone is white, while the back and sides are coloured red.

The iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus are currently Australia’s top two selling phones, currently commanding 15.8% and 7.9% market share respectively for the 3-month period to January 2017, according to analysts Kantar Worldpanel ComTech.

The phone will be available to order from Saturday 25 March 2017 and will begin shipping by the end of the month.

Since its establishment, (RED) has raised more than US$465 million for the Global Fund. More than US$130 million of this money has come from Apple.

The red iPhone joins the existing colours of black, jet black, silver, gold and rose gold.
