ACS congratulates Manjusha Bhakta for winning the 2022 ACS President’s Award.
Manjusha is a data analytics expert with consulting firm EY and is a member of the ACS Victoria Branch Executive Committee.
Since joining ACS in 2017, Manjusha has helped foster ACS’ data analytics communities, leading panel discussions and helping build a strong network of data analytics professionals.
Manjusha told Information Age being a member of ACS allows her “to contribute to the broader IT community and gives me the satisfaction of giving back”.
“I am passionate about Data and Analytics and hence leading the Data Analytics Community of Interest (COI) for ACS VIC, through which we arrange sessions in these areas to help members learn, share and network,” Manjusha said.
“My other contribution is sponsoring the Emerging Professional Committee (EPC) to attract young and emerging IT professionals to ACS and increase their interest in participating in ACS initiatives more actively.
“This has been very successful, and with some initial guidance, the team has taken up multiple initiatives and run with minimum supervision. With this success, even other state branches of ACS are now starting the develop EPC teams.”
Manjusha said she is looking forward to connecting with IT professionals in regional Victoria, engaging with universities to help foster their technology careers, and continuing to promote diversity, equity, and inclusion through ACS initiatives.
ACS President Nick Tate congratulated Manjusha for winning the 2022 ACS President’s Award.
“Manjusha’s efforts to help mentor emerging professionals in Victoria have been invaluable,” he said.
“She sees the value of ACS as a community for IT professionals and is working hard to get more young people involved with the society.”
