If you’re the kind of person who regularly taps on ‘Later’ when Apple asks if you’re ready to update your device, stop now.

Stay Smart Online, a government initiative that shares online safety information, has warned Apple users are at risk if the latest updates are not installed as quickly as possible.

Products affected include iOS which runs iPhones and iPads, iTunes for Windows, iCloud for Windows, Safari, Apple Watch, and Apple TV.

Stay Smart Online said Apple released the security updates to address “vulnerabilities” and has labelled the risk as ‘High’.

Apple said the iTunes vulnerability “may lead to disclosure of user information”, while the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch vulnerability allows “a remote hacker to cause unexpected application termination or arbitrary code execution.”

Users are urged to update immediately, and ensure they have ‘automatically apply security updates when they become available’ switched on.
